Gaja Cyclone Relief Update - November 21,2018
Cyclone Gaja hit the coastal areas of the state earlier last week, which led to massive uprooting of electricity poles and trees and destroying livelihood in the towns of Nagapattinam, Vedaranyam and Karaikal. As the cyclone's landfall began, coastal towns including Cuddalore, Thondi and Pamban in Tamil Nadu. Aid India started storm relief works by sending relief material trucks with basic essential kits and Family kits for the cyclone-affected people in Tamil Nadu.
Focus Areas of our relief work:
Nagapatinam, Tanjore, Trichy, Patukottai, and Sivagangai districts of Tamil Nadu
Three Trucks of relief materials were sent on November 19th, 20th and 21st. We are planning to dispatch one more truck on 22nd of November.
1100 Family kits were distributed in the affected areas of Tamilnadu.
Items in Family kits : Bed sheets, Candles, Food Packets, Tarpaulins, Match Boxes, Water bottles, Milk Powder Packets, Sanitary Napkins, Bread packets, Oil Packets, Dal Packets, Rusk Packets, Tamarind Packets, Salt Packets, Sugar Packets

Sivagangai - Chettinad – Thethanpatti, Puduvayal - Kavulkollai, Kanadukathan - Muthappapark, Muthurajanagar, Vengavayal - Smoorani, Maramadakki.
Nagapattinam – Velankkani, Kameswaram, Thalai Gnayiru.
